From August 14 to 17, 2025, the 1st International Conference on Advanced Energy Industries was successfully held at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). The conference was co-hosted by the Specialized Committee on Energy Development Strategy of the Chinese Association of Development Strategy Studies and Dalian University of Technology, organized by the School of Economics and Management, and co-organized by the Center for Advanced Energy Strategy and Policy Research of the Institute of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Technology and Innovation Support Center of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the Liaoning Intellectual Property Society, and the Dalian Hydrogen Energy Development & Promotion Association.

The conference, themed "Advanced Energy Driving Development, Green Transition Forging New Chapter", facilitated in-depth exchanges and discussions on advanced energy theories and technological innovation, integrated development paths of traditional energy and new energy, policy environment and market risks for corporate global expansion, as well as the global restructuring of the energy industry chain. It brought together over 150 scholars and industry representatives from China, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and other countries.

The conference provided a high-level exchange and cooperation platform for industry, academia, research, and government sectors. It has promoted international dialogue and collaborative innovation in the advanced energy industry, holding positive significance for building a more open, low-carbon, secure, and sustainable new pattern for global energy development.
